Scholarship Program for Best O/L Student in the College
The ACOBAWC annual scholarship at Ananda College is funded by the interest from a fixed deposit in Peoples Bank of Sri Lanka. The scholarship paid money for the student with best O/L results. Rs. 30,000 first year and Rs. 40,000 for the second year. This would result in two annual scholarships totaling of Rs. 70,000.00.
The main ACOBA in Sri Lanka was responsible of selecting the student in the past years and from this year, 85 group of OBA is managing this scholarship together with ACOBA-WC.
This year we paid following payments:
Navindu Amajith (Best O/L result in 2015) – RS. 40,000.00 – Follow-up Payment
Student name to be confirmed (Best O/L result in 2016) – RS. 30,000.00

This project is also managed in Sri Lanka by OBA 85’ group funded by ACOBA-WC. The award ceremony was held at Kularatne Hall, on April 05th 2018. ACOBA-WC Treasurer- Nalin Kulasooriya attended the event. Photographs of the event were distributed among the members. Thank you for the Project Chairman Dr. Nalaka Gunawardana and his Committee-, OBA 85’ Group and Parakrama Rajasinghe (Col. Lucky’s Brother) for organizing the event. 32 students from grades 5 through 9 received cash donations for their academic achievements.
