SCHOARSHIPS 2016

Ananda Scholarships:

The ACOBAWC annual scholarship at Ananda is funded by interest from a fixed deposit in Sri Lanka.  The reorganization of Bank accounts in Sri Lanka established a scholarship that paid money for the student with best O/L results.  The main ACOBA in Sri Lanka took the responsibility to select the student and help distribute the money: Rs. 30,000 first year A/L and Rs. 40,000 for the second year A/L. This would result in two annual scholarships totaling of Rs. 70,000.00.

Dr. Sri Ramya Welaratna Scholarship – $.80,000

ACOBAWC approved this Scholarship to deposit the above money in recognize Sri Lankan bank and with the interests, to provide scholarships to college students.

• Six best students in academic order of merit from grade 5 thru 9. (Approximately 30 scholarships)
• There will be committee appointed in US and Sri Lanka. Event managed in Sri Lanka by ACOBAWC, Committee in Sri Lanka and Ananda College OBA – 85’ Group.
• Selection process shall be transparent, and all supporting documents shall be received by electronically to ACOBAWC.
• Final number of scholarships will be decided by ACOBAWC upon receiving above documentation.
• First award ceremony to be held in March 2017 and annually thereafter.
