INTER SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2016

Ananda College Old Boys Team Won the Annual Six-a-Side cricket tournament 2016 organized by Orange County (OC) Lions Foundation on March 26, 2016, at Tustin Columbus Park in Tustin.

Final match of the tournament started around 5.30 PM with Ananda playing against ‘DS Senanayake Team’. Having won the toss Ananda Team elected to bat first. At the end of the over’s Ananda Team could score only 55 runs, much under par for the pitch at Columbus Tustin Park. But Ananda players bowled and fielded with determination and bowling with great accuracy restricted DS Senanayake Team to a low score of 35 runs and cursing to win the ‘2016 Champions’ Trophy’ in great style.

This is the fifth consecutive year for the Inter School ‘Six a Side’ Tournament held by the OC Lions Foundation. Ananda Team has won the Champions’ Trophy three times and was the ‘runners-up’ in the other two years.
